Well good fortune has foumd me again. I am back up in Eureka now and this time I am geting things together to bring all the dogs north. Dave Monson has given me a great place to stay on the road to Rampart about 140 miles north of Fairbanks on the Elliot Highway. It is one of he ans Susan Butchers old camps, it has a small two bedroom house a shop and tons of storage buildings, a perfect place to train dogs and keep great focus. This is am amazing opertunity i could not pass up. So with help from my sponsors especailly my parents I was able to figure out a way to move up here full time until the Quest. This is going to give me a chance to put all of my focus on the dogs and I am sure this will pay off come Quest time. We are in full swing right now and the dogs look great. Kyla and I will be up here until the 5th of Nov then head back to Fairbanks for just under two weeks to get things taken care of in town, buy all the supplies I will need for a few months, close down my place in fairbanks and head back out here for the winter. My brother will be visiting for a 10 days when I bring him back to town on the 26 I will make my last haul out and be in Eureka until the Copper Basin on Jan 12. I am extremely exciting about this and cant wait to live a bush life for the winter, this is something I have dreamed about for years. I will have very litle interenet access but I plan on making the trip to Manley 20 miles away everyweek to update the blog. so make sure you check back . I plan on keeping everyone updated with how things are going since i will be so out of touch. This is going to be a season to remember no doubt about that. Until next time

Man it is amazing how busy it gets when training goes into full swing. sorry it has been a while but I have been really focusing on the dogs and trainning and it is really looking good. I have been up north in Eureka helping Dave Monson fix up Susan and his homestead and at the same time spending alot of time with the dogs. The Training up there is second to none and especially good for fourwheeler training. I am up to 15 miles and looking to boost them up again in a few days. all 26 dogs i have in training are running great. I have a great bunch and a good mix between experienced dogs and young dogs. The young dogs are learning alot in a short time and they are really speeding up the team. At the same time Kyla has been back here in fairbanks taking care of the old dogs and pups and doing a great jobs. the old guys are getting run everyday and doing a great job training the pups. I am sure to have some more great dogs in the future with all the attention and training they are getting now. I am hoping to head back up north for a couple weeks early next week and this time bring a few more dogs and kyla so she can see what it is like up there. thanks for checking in. stay tuned for more updates in the next week.

WOW what a month. It started out with a last minute chance to go to the Brooks range and work at a remote mining camp for 3 weeks. Which is something I could not pass up. It was a great chance to make good money, meet some great people and enjoy the brooks range. the month included long 11 hour days of working on the drill rig with a geologist, nights around the camp fire with great conversation, a sheep hunt on the last day of the season that was very successful a couiple really good stalks and some huge moose and ended with a 3 day 65 mile hike through the mountians to the haul road where my dad picked me up. It was an month for the rcord books and the best part is the dogs were all taken care of by Kyle. Man having a handler is nice it allowed me to go make some great money before the season and know that the dogs are getting trained and being well taken care of. she did an awsome job. My dad was also around to help keep the rest of the operation going. The last few days I have been working at David Monsons place in Eureka restoring he and Susan Butchers Homestead. it is a great deal I can work and train dogs in a remote place. A good Friend Sigrid Ekran is spending the witner out there and it is awesome to visit and train with her as well. I am back know and should be here for a while so I will be keeping a pretty updated blog so check back. the dogs are all looking great we are up to 6 miles 2 times a day now and building fast. thanks for checking in
