Kyla and I got all the houses moved/sprayed and the new area all cleared out. we have one huge mound of brush for a winter party and lots of new dog spots. the skid steer is here and tommorrow we are going to fill all the holes and spread out new material over the entire yard. it is going to be a new place tomarrow. Great weather 80 degrees and sunny.

Dogs Looking Good

I have to say Kyla has helped in many ways but the total makover she has done to many of the dogs has the yard looking better then ever. Kyla has been learning names and gaining some trust by brushing the dogs for hours, and because of it they have never looked better. I know the dogs and Kyla are totally loving it and with this lingering heat wave it is helping them stay alot cooler. We have big plans for the weekend i just got two loads of gravel so this weekend we are going give the place a total makeover, fill holes, level out dog spots, cut tress for new spots and stain all the houses. stay tuned for before and after pics. thanks for stopping bye, have a great day

Tropical Weather

Well fairbanks is in the middle of a mid Aug heat wave. Temps have been in the upper 80's for the past few days and not dropping down below 60 in the evening. Most people are really excited about it, but not me or for that matter most dog mushers. Early season training should be in full swing but because of the temps we have not been able to get out much. On the other hand it allows me to get alot of chores done around the Kennel to get prepared for the season. I have some help now as well, which is awsome. My new handler Kyla just arrived and is adjusting well to her new environment. She has spent the last day and half getting to know the dogs and she seems to be really enjoying it. I know the dogs are loving her presents. Thats it for now greg (webmaster) is still plugging away on the site updates so stay tuned for new content. Thanks for visiting and pray for cold weather.

Quest Sign up

Fresh off the plane from MN I was able to be the first musher to sign up for the Quest for the second year in a row. There is no big insentive to being the first to sign up but it feels great and really gets me focused on the season ahead. I am finally back at my place in the Goldstream Valley after resigning from Chena Hot springs then heading to MN for three weeks and then a wilderness trip in the southeast AK. It has been a good run but I am ready to get the place orginized and ready for a great season. Next week my first full time handler will be arriving to help for the season. I am very excited about having some full time help with the dogs and someone to train with. Kyla Durham from California will be taking the position. Stay tuned for more updates. The temps are droping here and training is coming into full swing. The site will have new info being posted thoughout the rest of the season so be sure to check back. thanks for checking out the site.

Happy Trails
