Alive and Well in Eureka

Hello I know its been a while, its been a pretty crazy spring for me and the dogs. We are now all back out in Eureka after an Epic trip into the Brooks range. A trip that included 12 Norwegians, 7 dog teams 7 ski jors and 52 dogs. all told we traveled 230 miles in 10 days and had an amazing time. it was my first time guiding a trip of this size and it went great, well besides a few miner bumps like a broke down truck and a sunk snowmachine, but we overcame these and many other obstacles and made some great stories in the process. We had an AWESOME group of students from Norway that really helped make the trip a success. I am already dreaming about future trips. I am back here in Eureka re-cooperating from a crazy season, spending most of my time cutting and hauling firewood, running pups and taking care of the family (75 furry fourleggers) O the simple things in life. I am totally solo and loving the time alone with the dogs. The trip with the Norwegians was extremely rewarding and and I am really looking forward to guiding trips of its kind in the future. Getting to know the students and pushing them to be their best was the most rewarding part of the trip for me. I miss my new friends and hope that I had as much impact on them as they had on me. So i know i have been promising it for a long time but now that the craziness of the season is winding down I am going to finish writing the Quest story and get it posted as well as the story from my travels with the Norwegians. Its been one heck of a season and this time in Eureka before the rat race of the summer hits is going to really help me get focused on the future of Wild and Free. I am extremely excited about where we are going and the adventures we will have along the way!!! thanks for checking in and stay tuned for more updates,

Being Wild and Free
