My favorite Quote is going to come in very handy tomorrow!! I am all set to run the Equinox marathon here in
Fairbanks, and besides very little training I am all ready to go. It will
definitely serve as a good mental test. Ill update you tomorrow on how I held up in the 2
nd hardest marathon in the US.
Being Wild and Free

It has been 6 days since I left
Fairbanks and the dogs and I am ready to be back. I headed south last week to head to Kentucky for my brother wedding. I had a great time meeting Nicks Wife and family and also visiting with my family. It had been 7 years since my whole family had been together in one place and I know my parents were really happy about it. I have spent the last 2 days here in MN visiting with my grandparents and friends and head back AK tomorrow. I don't make it back very often so it is really important to see as many friends and family as possible while I am here. It has been really nice to see everybody but every time I leave it always reminds me where I belong and how much I love Alaska and my dogs. It will be great to get back into the flow of my life and especially get back to training. Along with visiting friends and family I also got an
opportunity to go to a couple schools in MN and give a presentation about my life as a dog musher. I had a great time and will hopefully do more of that back in AK.
I owe a big thanks Sigrid and Josh back in AK for taking care of my dogs while I have been away, couldn't have left without their help. When I get back I am going to try update the blog on a more consistent basis. I also have a handler coming at the end of the month that is going to be a large help with the dogs and also updating the blog . He is writer in his current life and is sure to improve the blog updates. More on him later. Hope all is well in your lives, thanks checking in

Hello
As always I am crazy busy and loving every minute. Only 3 more days until my tourism season is over and I head south for my bothers wedding. Crazy to think in just 4 days i will be out of Alaska and away from the dogs in a very different place. It is always really exciting to leave but I am always ready to come home. I know this trip is going to be a blast, but it will be nice to get back to the dogs and all of my fall Projects . With the tourism season over when I get back I will have time to focus on my home projects and getting the dogs and I ready for winter. I had the morning off today and was very productive. The dog yard has grown so much since i have spent a winter here in
Fairbanks that the lights only covered half the dog yard. Lights in the yard make everything
allot easier so today I wired up 10 new lights, and now I have the dog yard of dreams. I told a friend of mine that I
couldn't wait until it got dark so I could flip the switch and light up the yard, and she said sounds like The Field of Dreams. And that is exactly how it felt when I turned on the lights. I ma sure the yard can be seen for miles. If your ever flying into Fairbanks at night look for my yard just north of the city lights!!
OK enough about the dog yard I have to get to bed it is 130am and I will be up again at 530 to run dogs. thanks for stopping by. O the dog of the week is Rocky. I will tell you why
tomorrow.
